About this event
In August 2017, we watched from afar as hundreds of neo-Nazis and white supremacists descended upon the college town of Charlottesville, VA to terrorize its residents and commit acts of violence. With the backing of the civil rights group, Integrity First for America, attorneys from some of the country's top law firms worked pro bono to bring a case against them to trial. Now four years later, a jury finds the members of these hate groups liable. They must pay millions in compensatory and punitive damages to the nine women and men they injured.
Please join us as Alan Levine, a lead attorney in the case, recaps the trial, discusses its significance and shares what it was like for him to sue a Nazi. Rabbi Zoe Klein Miles and Village member Idelle Davidson will moderate.
