About this event
The Constitution and Campus Protests:
What Does the First Amendment Protect?
with Victor Gold
Protesters claim that encampments, building occupations, loud chanting, and more are all protected speech under the First Amendment. Some professors have used their classes to openly express support for the Palestinians and even Hamas. University administrators seem uncertain about what the law and even their own policies allow.
Victor Gold, Professor of Law and Dean Emeritus, of Loyola Law School, will discuss what is and is not protected by the Constitution. Expect a lively Q & A discussion.
All members of Temple Emanuel and Temple Isaiah are welcome to attend. Registration is required.
