About this event
There are many kinds of losses we face, from the immeasurable loss of a loved one to loss of mobility or acuity, to countless more ambiguous losses like losing a sense of safety and trust, losing one’s sense of place in the world, and relationships changing. This time of year, during the very reflective High Holy Days, we are especially attuned to our losses.
We will learn coping strategies with Thomas J. Pier, LCSW, OSW-c, CMF, whose therapy practice focuses on coping with serious and/or chronic illness, cancer treatment/survivorship, facing dying authentically while focusing on life & living, caregiver strain, living well with grief in the absence of a loved one, adjusting to new physical or mental health diagnosis, and navigating uncertainties.
We will have an opportunity to connect and share with one another.
Our gathering will close with a short ritual with Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles preparing us for Yizkor on Yom Kippur.
Temple Isaiah and Temple Emanuel members are welcome.
