Meet the young adults of Safe Place for Youth (SPY) while working side by side in SPY's garden.
The mission of SPY, a local nonprofit serving youths 18-25, is to prevent and end youth homelessness through supportive services, sustainable housing opportunities, community collaboration, and advocacy.
ChaiVillageLA, in partnership with the Temple Isaiah's Family Volunteer Club, is sponsoring a gardening opportunity at SPY's headquarters. We will get a chance to know some of SPY's young clients while we work together on a gardening project. We'll plant, paint rocks, and pick flowers for bouquets. This is a multi-generation event, so please feel free to bring children and grandchildren.
Important Information:
The event start time has been changed to 1:00 pm.
For those wishing to carpool, we will gather at the home of Sandy Silas (Cheviot Hills). Please arrive no later than 12:15 pm. Sandy's address will be provided upon registration.
If you prefer, you can meet us at the garden.
We'll be gardening in a shaded area.
We recommend hats, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes.
Registration is required.
If you have questions, please contact Alexander Macht at 310-871-2721 or Alexander@ChaiVillageLA.org
About Safe Place for Youth:
