Restorative Justice Training
On the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Bend the Arc of Southern California will provide a special virtual opportunity to learn about the theory and practice of Restorative Justice (RJ) and its grounding in Jewish tradition and texts. We'll learn about RJ programs, who they benefit and how they work. We'll spend some time reviewing case studies and learning what makes RJ so effective.
What is Restorative Justice?
Restorative Justice gives youth offenders the opportunity to learn the harm they have caused, "make right" their wrongs, and become accountable for their actions. These programs also provide financial and psychological restitution for victims and relief for the overloaded Juvenile Justice system.
This special Bend the Arc program is co-sponsored by Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, Temple Isaiah, and ChaiVillageLA.
We welcome all interested participants.
