Film Discussion: Gender Stereotypes

We will be discussing two movies that deal with the important subjects of body image and gender stereotypes.

The Full Monty (1997) is the story about six unemployed men who decide to earn money in a male strip club. Despite being a comedy, the film also  takes on some serious subjects.

Real Women Have Curves (2002) deals with a first-generation Mexican-American girl who wants to go away to college, but must deal with the expectations and traditions of her family.

Both movies can be rented on Amazon Prime.

Please watch the movies in advance.
