When Families Disagree: Navigating Painful Conversations About Israel

About this event

WHEN FAMILIES DISAGREE: NAVIGATING PAINFUL CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ISRAEL
(A PRIVATE GROUP FOR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS)
with Dr. Betsy Stone

As we follow the news and worry about family and friends in Israel, many of us are also navigating tense and challenging family dynamics. How do we have conversations with children and grandchildren who may have drastically different views on Israel than we do? How do we hold the complex feelings of love, disappointment, and that we may have? How do we manage our fear for our children in school and in college? As families prepare to be together over Thanksgiving, this will be an opportunity for honest conversation about our relationships with children and grandchildren.

Betsy Stone, Ph.D. is a retired psychologist whose passion for wellness in the lives of families has brought her invitations to teach throughout North America and Europe. Betsy has led webinars for congregations, Clergy, Hillels, Hebrew Union College, and the Jewish Education Project.

This session will take place on Zoom.
